Once you’ve determined that your hardware not
only meets the minimum requirements but
also is on the HCL, you need to decide
whether you want to do a clean install or
an upgrade.
The only operating systems that can be
upgraded to Windows XP Professional are Windows 98,
Windows Me, Windows NT 4 Workstation, and
Windows 2000 Professional.
